Author Alley In-Person
Join us for author William Mitchell, who will discuss his book Baylor in Northern Iraq During Operation Iraqi Freedom: Journeys to Dohuk for Higher Education, Democracy, and Voices for Survivors.
During Operation Iraqi Freedom, members of the Baylor community visited Iraq to assist in the transition of refugees to a free society, where they could expect civil rights and rule of law. Oral history, interviews and diaries document the journeys highlighting not only the suffering of refugees, but the resilience of human spirit in heartbreaking conditions.
The author will have books available for autographs and purchase. Proceeds from sales benefit the Friends of the Waco-McLennan County Library.
