Books & Brews: The Last Words of James Joyce

Books & Brews: The Last Words of James Joyce In-Person

When James Joyce met Ernest Hemingway in Paris during the 1920s, they began to frequent cafes and bars together. When Joyce's belligerent behavior got him into trouble, he'd hide behind Hemingway and cry, "Deal with him!".

In honor of this iconic duo, we're meeting at Hemingway's Watering Hole (4700 Bosque Blvd) to discuss The Last Words of James Joyce by Jim Broderick. You'll meet a wild cast of characters in this modern-day literary treasure hunt through social media, academic conferences, sanitariums, and late-night diners. Who will find the last unpublished work of James Joyce? Does it even exist? Follow the hunt, then join us for the discussion. No purchase necessary.
