Citizen Science

Citizen Science In-Person

There are many ways ordinary people - kids and adults - can participate in real science projects, gather scientific data, and see how their work benefits scientific research. Kyle Wilhelm, chemistry PhD student and Lab Safety Manager at Baylor University, will talk us through what Citizen Science is and how you can get involved! Learn how to register at  SciStarter.gov, then find and join specific research projects where you'll be able to report your data. We'll have laptops available for you to use at the end of the program and register your own SciStarter account!

We will have a limited amount of eclipse glasses available for program attendees. Tickets will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis to be redeemed for one pair of eclipse glasses at the end of the program.
