                Kate Ross Padgitt: A Woman of Firsts In-Person
Kate Ross Padgitt was the first person to cross Waco’s suspension bridge! Barbara Bridgewater of the Heart of Texas Storytelling Guild, will portray Padgitt to share with us her story as an early citizen of McLennan County. She was born on January 6th, 1851, in Waco Village as the seventh child of Catherine (Fulkerson) and Shapley Prince Ross. Join us to learn about her life and legacy as a philanthropist, socialite, and businesswoman.
Due to seating limitations, this will be a first-come, first-served ticketed event.
This program is part of a year-long series celebrating Waco's 175th Anniversary.
