Hobbit Week: The Unexpected Journey In-Person
September 22 is Hobbit Day in honor of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins' birthdays, but we're celebrating all weekend! Visit Central Library anytime today or Sunday to celebrate with an unexpected journey. Adventurers of all ages will collect a map at the Circulation's desk and complete challenges as they journey through Middle Earth. If you're as clever as Bilbo, you'll complete your adventure and have a chance to win the Arkenstone and a copy of The Hobbit. Kids can also collect a treasure from Smaug's trove. There will be plenty of amazing Hobbity photo ops starting at Bilbo's front door, including floating barrels, an ogre, the giant spider Shelob, and even Smaug!
