September 8, 1900, the deadliest hurricane in American history made landfall on Galveston Island, Texas. 125 years later to the day, Mr. Lance Wood, recently retired from the NOAA National Hurricane Center in Galveston, will be providing a Zoom presentation and interview about The Great Galveston Hurricane of 1900 and what it is like working at the National Hurricane Center. Guests are invited to take notes during the presentation and jot down questions for the librarian to ask during the interview!
