Celebrating Women and America's History through Quilts, a Brown Bag In-Person
Join Marian Ann Montgomery, Curator of Clothing and Textiles at the Museum at Texas Tech University, to discover how quilts provide a window into history, reflecting women’s voices and the defining events of American life. Attendees will gain insight into the stories behind the patterns, fabrics, and techniques used by our ancestors. This program offers a unique lens into American history, celebrating the creativity, resilience, and voices of women through the enduring art of quilting, with a special emphasis on quilts from the Museum at Texas Tech University’s collection.
