Packing Right for Your Travel to Texas in 1820, CTGS meeting In-Person
Let’s Celebrate Texas’ Birthday! Join us as we travel back in time before the Republic of Texas was established on March 2, 1836. Learn about life in early Texas from the Sterling C. Robertson Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas' storyteller, Susan S. Merritt. She'll be bringing the Traveling Trunk to share the tale of her ancestors coming to Texas from Alabama in 1820. You'll see toys, clothing, cooking utensils, and examples of food items!
The public is welcome to join us for this monthly Central Texas Genealogical Society meeting.
